A Letter from Superintendent Dr. Renee A. Foose

Special Message to Families – Baltimore Unrest

Dear HCPSS Community,

Our hearts are with the citizens of Baltimore City as they restore safety and heal from the tragedies occurring in their communities. We stand with our neighbors in Baltimore City who are working for peace and an end to the violence, with an understanding that violence is never the answer.

Due to continued safety concerns, our school system has canceled or made alternative arrangements for all field trips and other events taking place in downtown Baltimore through this weekend.

HCPSS Student Services personnel are available to support the social and emotional safety and well being of students, staff, and families. Anyone in need of support should contact their school administrator or counselor. Additional resources for families are posted below and on our website.

Thank you for your continued partnership as we work together to support our students during this difficult time.

Sincerely,

Dr. Renee A. Foose
Superintendent

International Night – Friday, May 8 7:00-9:00 pm

We hope TRES families can join us for our annual event that celebrates and showcases the cultural diversity of our community through food, artifact displays, performances, and art.  Every student at TRES will have a piece of artwork on display!  Entrance to the event and all activities is FREE.  To have some fun and add to the ambience, we encourage attendees to dress in attire that is representative of their cultural heritage! Click here for the TRES International Night Volunteer Form.

Please note: One of the highlights of the evening is to taste various foods from different cultures.  However, samples are bite-sized only, and are limited to one per person while supplies last, so we encourage families to eat dinner before arriving.

Questions?  Please contact committee chair, Natasha Moulton-Levy at [email protected].
